Born and raised in Sonoma County, Mónica, a first-generation latina, developed a deep curiosity about the human body from an early age. Her passion for sports and outdoor activities led her to pursue a career in human movement, earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University.

In 2020, Mónica became a licensed massage therapist from National Holistic Institute and established her own practice, Puro Movimiento, which reflects her belief that movement is the foundation of well-being. Dedicated to holistic health, she finds the human body's complexities fascinating and advocates for movement as the best form of medicine.

Committed to expanding her expertise, Mónica began her journey to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. Mónica’s next educational journey is in Cuernavaca, México where she will continue to deepen and strengthen her ancestral healing practices. 

Beyond her professional pursuits, Mónica enjoys time with familia, playing rugby, hiking, backpacking, and traveling, embracing an active lifestyle that aligns with her philosophy of health and wellness.

 Puro Moviemento is focused on deep intentional healing. Understanding the root cause of the problem is just the beginning of the solution, it is about redefining the mind, soul and body connection, healing from the inside-out. This is achieved through individualized movement therapy, manual therapy, breath work and soon chiropractic care to guide individuals to a longer healthier life.
